Covert Operations For Kids With Stealth Goggles Night Vision Gear

Once kids lose their fear of the dark, it seems they can’t get enough of playing out late at night, playing games like hide and seek or other such games. It must seem like a whole new world to discover to new eyes, and in reality it is. They use the same technology as the proper night vision gear you might expect the military to use – namely infrared frequency light to illuminate the night. This produces a fairly good picture of what is going on around you, in green or black and white images.

The goggles are referred to as stealth because there are two modes. The first mode is the stealth mode that allows totally covert operations. This means the goggles are totally undetectable – no visible light or sound whatsoever.

The other mode, described as the surveillance mode, allows a longer range of night vision (upwards of 50 feet), but may be noticed by other people as it gives off a red light. If you are well hidden this might not be an issue but it is not as stealthy or covert as the first mode.

Version 1 is a set of goggles which affix to the head with rubber straps. They can fit snugly to the face ensuring comfort even when wearing them for a fairly long period of time. The goggles have a soft rubber front that molds to the shape of the persons face so that no light can escape out. There are caps over the eyepieces too, such that you can flip them up or down and see in infrared or use your normal night time vision. This means you don’t have to remove the goggles unless you really want to.

The binoculars give you more flexibility to switch between infrared vision and normal night time vision, but of course, you have to use your hands to operate them. This could steer people away from the binoculars if they want completely hands free night vision capabilities.
